The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster fails to uphold the Bill "On Amendments to the Land Code of Ukraine" (re Extension of the Term "Categories of Lands by their Purposeful Designation)

The Bill (Reg. No.2091) introduces a new version of Paragraph 1 of Article 19 "Categories of Lands" of the Land Code of Ukraine, which extends the list of categories of Ukrainian lands by their purposeful designation. Thus, the current nine categories of lands are supplemented with ten more, namely: lands of reserve stock; lands of religious designation (cemeteries, pantheons, monasteries, churches, etc); lands of hunting fund (hunting grounds); lands beyond the territorial waters, such as lands of space system, onto which Ukrainian sovereign rights and jurisdiction are extended.
